Research Title:
Research Proposal for Qualitative Research Design in the Sport Management field.
Aim:
The research aims to highlight the fundamental purposes of the management of the sports field and to determine the best ways to ensure control of sports is well understood.
Objectives:
-To explain the fundamental reasons for sports management
-To disseminate the information about the management of sport associations
-To determine the differences between leadership and management in sports
-To investigate the impact of the game on the welfare of people
-To engage stakeholders in the best ways, competition can be managed
Rationale:
As shown in the literature review presented, it is essential to look at all the relevant information from different perspectives. Specialists assert that the process of personal research on this topic can provide a better understanding of the system.
Looking at this proposal, there are three ways to justify it. First, to determine the fundamental reasons for sports management.
The proposal suggests that the researchers should be able to distinguish the best methods that can be used to investigate the current situation.
Second, to find the best ways of understanding how the management of sports can be done effectively.
Third, to identify the stakeholders in the sports field.
Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis
The proposal is based on both qualitative and quantitative analysis. The qualitative study is based on the empirical review, where the scientists are trying to build on the miracle's significance from the consumer perspective.
The qualitative approach differs from the qualitative program, which shall look at the research theory by looking at a small institution and the collection of data that will assist or disprove the hypothesis. However, quantitative analysts are based on a test method known as a lab setting.
Therefore, this study is based on the constructionist approach and the relational research style applied in a typical environment to look at the advantage of a specific aspect.
Literature Review
According to Olafson (1990), there is a need for hypothetical establishments to direct research in sports executives. There is a proposal that there should be a utilization of subjective systems to inquire about farther than the current quantitative plans.
According to the literature review, there is a thought that sport analysts executives will accept the general kindness of the quantitative world view.
Although subjective educating and research techniques have been supported and used for the production of new information across many occasions, researchers have also alluded to other models and the need to think about new approaches.
The researchers are urged to distinguish between the perception of people and the results from the current system and base their decision on the strategy used by that model.
A subjective research model is beginning to be distributed in many research fields; it is used to outline the behaviour of sports' executives. This recognition seems to be constant despite everything changing in the field of game account explores.
Since the beginning of International Journal of Sport Finance in February 2006, there has never been a solitary subjective contextual research on the management of sport all over the world. Therefore specialists must understand the relationship between the game, fund, and the ideal models of investigating management of sport.
It is important to note that when undertaking a study concerning sports, it is necessary to understand the issues around sporting activities including encouragement and emotional intimacy.
In this case, our concern is on human processes and experiences that are expressed in values, feelings, and strategic activities that shape the transformation of public activity. The current issue we are dealing with should have an alternative view to that of a quantitative analysis.
According to Bustard (n.d), if there is lack of understanding and appreciation that affects the kind of questions that are being asked, it will continuously hinder the knowledge that we are receiving. In this connection, scientists must accept and recognize the measurement of own research in the sector of gambling money to understand the human part of our study.
The selective inquiry used in this study provides a qualitative research method based on the selection of seats in major League Baseball.
At the same time, psychological and sociological influences, as indicated in writing assessment, play an important role in assessing strategies in sport management.
With the mixture of theoretical aspects of concerning the sociological parts of human gaming coordination, it looks relevant to apply the use of contextual framework to focus around the concerned issue. It is believed that such relationship takes place from a practical perspective, as Inglis also suggested that contextual approaches should be relevant as they can give important alternatives to the inquiries for the discovery since scientists will usually have a complete link with their leaders.
Inglis asserted concluded by saying that those members are committed to social mystery.
Methodology
This proposal suggests various methods that can be used to collect data. Some of these methods include
-The case study: As described by Creswell, 1998, it is an analysis of specific context or various events at a particular point, inside or outside the area of knowledge.
Some authors have narrowed down to define case study as one which is capable of concentrating a single wonder or feature through the interaction of other elements.
This method also promotes a broader range of data manipulations than other systems.
The problem of ticketing in sport management is one which can be represented.
The holistic investigative approach is believed to give a broader range of data interventions than different systems. For instance, it gives room to more far-reaching knowledge and a beautiful understanding of the concerned issue.
This aided the understanding how to interpret the ticket valuation methods within the Colorado Rockies club.
This allows a wider range of input from people involved in measurement phase band to realize the uniqueness of their rationality.
Yin (2003) highlights the conditions that must be satisfied to consider quantitative research technique excellent. First, the analysis must define the kind of research questions that are being questioned. There is no doubt that questions like ‘how’, ‘what’, and ‘why’ are clearly answered with this kind of technique. Additionally, care must be taken about the amount of control that the professional has on the real social times. Thirdly, the extent of concern given to topical rather than current circumstances outcomes should be done according to the use of qualitative research strategy.
According to Yin, the theoretical model is more applicable in the current times than for the real circumstances.
According to his research and other theorists, the topic of the Major League Baseball Ticket Appraisal fulfils each of the three advantages of qualitative research methodology.
Presently the review is concerned with the evaluation of the procedure and understanding of the many awards that are used when performing the various questions involved.
In this article, an operational conceptual analysis has been used where a specific case is examined to give knowledge of the topic.
The question around the research is whether there is a fair calculation in the arrangement and organization of the past sports.
The inquiry aims at analyzing the impacts and to improve a more notable perception of an illusionary process.
Theoretical Stance: This method is always used as a hypothesis of knowledge. In this article, it will be used to collect data that provides insight into the participants' organization. For instance, in this case, details on the allocation of tickets will be represented by social changes.
Researchers should, therefore, concentrate on gathering information and constructing findings that were the intention of the research.
Sampling and Sampling Procedure
According to Creswel (2009), a case should be applied as an implementation technique where expert looks at a system, an event, a process, a method, or an entity from the beginning to the end. The Colorado Rockies were used as the case study, where the estimation of the ticket is the principal focus.
Two types of inspection then arise the probability screening and the multi-probability testing.
According to Merriam (p.66), Arbitrary definitions do not apply in the area of empirical science. In this article, the comfort measure is, in general terms sensible to use since the expert will simply accept the use of naturally created meetings.
Convenience assessing will rely on the presumption that the interviewer needs to discover, appreciate. Because of this, he has to select the experience which will enable him to know the most.
For this article, the Major League Baseball party was chosen for the research because it has a stock of large seats and the application of various procedures for calculating tickets. In this connection, it is necessary to select an organization with a sample supply of chairs and a shift in demand if in case more are needed.
Sources of Evidence
Evidence is necessary because the information collected in several sources shall help analysts with varied sources of information.
Thus sources of information such as meetings, views, and surveys.
-Yin (2003) described six critical sources of information. These include evidence from documentation, credible documents, observations, direct impressions etc.
-The evaluation of the facts from documents, reports, observations, important impressions, and other useful sources that can help understand the issue at hand.
Interviews
Interviews are very intimate forms of gathering information. It involves face-to-face and one-on-one meetings that can be used to get the required information.
Telephone interviews and email interviews are considered the best methods of collecting data through interviews.
-In this case, all three approaches have been used to gather the information and address the effectiveness of interviews in gathering information.
Data Analysis
This proposal applied a systematic data analysis. According to Denzin and Lincoln (2005), systematic data analysis is an organized way of thinking, and it is thought as a system of simultaneous information gathering.
The data here have been consistently checked, examined and aggregated. During the contextual analysis, notes from meetings, field reports, and my reports have been analyzed keenly concerning the case at hand.
The notes of each wellspring information were made regularly to open up the information gathered and to help in differentiating between definitions and standards.
Including comprehensive reports from interviews, findings, field notes, documents, and study reports, there is enough data to analyze.
Therefore, the application of a validated theoretical analysis is a crucial way to manage and evaluate the data that has been collected in this research. This theoretical analysis method was an essential step in the development of useful findings to help lead to practical research in the sport's management field.
Summary
According to McFee (2009), inquiring about collaborations between individuals in real-life situations allows quantitative examinations to show and evaluate specific circumstances.
The purpose of contextual inquiry, therefore, is to dissect a specific circumstance and to some extent, record the size of one.
The Rockies Ticket Pricing Committee looks at the assessment of clients concerning their organization. There is a need to move ahead; however, many youngsters wish to participate in the match. This was an urge to extend the business.
Generally, if the Rockies would allow one team to play, the organization would enable the organizations to improve remarkably.
Even though people have varied thoughts about the achievement of the organization, they also perceived the course the organization was taking, and they all agreed with the program.
Meetings have played a vital role in bringing stakeholders together. However, assorting the information would have delivered excellent results. Finally, the sessions gave knowledge to everyone's thoughts and feelings on every point.
