The paper "Organizational Leadership" is a great example of a management essay. In an effort to understand the various modes of leadership in the contemporary environment, the group went through the flexibility of leaders and the impact that it has on society. The group asserted that the leaders could assess different situations and assist in problem resolution experienced in the organization. This situation is indifferent to the less flexible leaders whereby the subjects have nothing to do towards manipulating their attributes. A successful organization needs a leader, which can diversify his or her abilities towards solving a given dispute; otherwise, the organization will be slow in rectifying any failure. The presence of leadership flexibility means that the subject organization can easily manipulate its resources towards accommodating any given situation. Further, the flexibility also allows the leaders to detect any lurking problem, which may need an immediate remedy. This implies that the flexibility of leadership dictates the ability of a leader to solve a problem.

Further, the ability of an organization to survive through any spontaneous change also depends on the flexibility of leadership. The leaders can detect any arising competition from the external environment triggering the faster resolution of the problem. The leaders can model themselves towards solving a given external change as compared to the less flexible leadership whereby there is a need to spend time looking for other suitable leaders. The more time spent in resolving an external change reflects the inefficiency of less flexible leadership in an organization.

One of the examples presented by the group in an effort to explain the flexibility in leadership is that a flexible leader has the ability to compare managers in an organization. The example to explain in this case is an example of an organization that has a leader with many managers below him. The flexible may take it upon self to observe the running of the several managerial posts with the aim of ensuring that the weak links with accordance to management are got rid of. This is a clear example if inefficient managers are the reason for failure in most organizations and thus the importance of having the leader taking action.

Another factor provided is that a leader can offer a certain process of priority. The example provided in this case is when facing a huge choice to make such as which manager or employee to promote. The example provided here is concise and the reason for this is that a rigid leader can face a rather huge challenge in an effort to fill a certain position in an organization. This might have the leader seek help from the board of directors even when the position to cover is minor. A flexible leader can make this decision spontaneously given his understanding of the company.

A flexible leader can carry out changes in the organization without raising any doubts among the employees. The reason for this is the fact that the leader has a reputation of carrying out major decisions in the organizations without exterior help. Explanation of this factor is irregular but the reader gains the concept. If it were the case of a rigid leader taking a drastic decision for the organization, fears would arise among the employees leading to derailment from the goals of the company due to an unfocused team.
