The Critical Management Study Organizations’ operations and decision making process requires the help the management to ensure success. Earlier studies served basic approaches to the issue of management in implementing the practices that would serve to stimulate output upon limited malpractices in the management. The critical management study poses as of importance to the future management practitioners and as a basis for success. As a student, I undertake critiques on the management and I must focus on the areas upon which the organizations may underperform or derive prowess in accordance to the degree of the managers’ involvement (Clegg, and Kornbegger, 2006:12). This context entails a critical and argumentative approach to the management concepts, issues of malpractices, organizations’ strangers, ethics, and the relationship of such practices to the business environmental forces. The concepts and practices of the management Arguments are the management comprises of human beings and often fallout of favor among themselves. Whenever this occurs, the organizations shall be in a conflicting state and shall eventually underperform in delivering the desired production capacity (Mintzberg, 2004:12). I critically analyzed the aspect on management of conflicts and articulation to the personal group and team relations in the organizations. Scholars implement studies that depict on the extent at which laxity in the management courses danger to the entire organization as the factor of production are interrupted thus production turns out poorly or halts completely. Critics are that the management remains an integral part in ensuring the continuity of every organization and any slight indifference may severe dominating and persisting factors to collapse the organization entirely (Clegg, and Kornbegger, 2006:14). The critical study of managers derives importance as a basis for speculating the improvement criteria from different managerial programs in assessing and forecasting on the future. The critical approach to the management practices and concepts further seeks to establish those specific areas where the managers’ practices deviate from propulsion to stagnation of operations. The scholars further establish critical management approach as of salient importance in acquainting managers with skills and knowledge to predict on the unexpected consequences that would possibly emanate from a prevailing behavior and would harm the environment entirely. Arguments are that managers should pursue the role of affiliating business with the community, and reshaping an organization’s image through positive performance in the environment. The critical management provide for precise methods of recruiting and promoting employees in an organization (Mintzberg, 2004:16). This occurs the through outlining of the probable aspects upon which the management should avoid in order to acquaint personnel to the most appropriate positions. The anticipated result is that the individual would serve to the best of their capacity and the output would implicate positively on the organization’s profitability levels and competence. Managers reflect performance in accordance to the internal and external factors of the organization’s environment. The study is a reflection of the managerial standards set as regulating variables to control expedition and delegation of duties to serve to the best purpose of the organization and deviating from action on personal issues. Arguments are that managers perceive their role as important in controlling the resources in an organization and this aspect may further affect the business in the organization, either positively or negatively depending on the supposed meaning of involvement. Critical studies depict an analytical approach to the managerial practices towards the society, stakeholders, affiliates, and the external environment of the business, which includes the competitors and other organizations that influence the welfare (Alvesson, and Willmott, 2011:22). Establishing managerial malpractices and the theories The fact that the management perceives superiority of the rank, studies depict of the probability that the management team may fail to adhere to the set regulations of issuing directives towards their subjects. Most of the management perceives authoritarianism as of importance in delegating duties. The theory of authoritarianism is relevant to study in establishing the advent of consequential changes in research instrumentation (Clegg, and Kornbegger, 2006:16). The findings depict those researchers in critical management studies (CMS) as applicants of managerial authoritarianism. According to past studies, I implement that critical management approaches derive the theory of capitalism in relation to and the specific role in the management. The theory is critical in the sense that scholars employ it as a control variable to management and the production utilities to achieving the long-range business objectives. I derived facts that past managerial theories are relevant to the behavioral leadership theories thus; by critically analyzing the capitalist approach, I was able to correlate it to the managerial behaviors and the implied performance of the organization (Mintzberg, 2004:18). In the study, I critically evaluated that the capitalist management practices and ascertained that the management may fail to steer programs towards achievement of the set goals and objectives, while reinstating the organizations’ yield for egocentric purposes (Alvesson, and Willmott, 2011:23). However, the capitalist theory emphasizes on privately made decisions to steer growth, I critically evaluated the norm to the broader spectrum at which it affects the social norms, beliefs, and attitudes and the extent at which managers raise ethical concerns. I further revised on the study approach to modernized theoretical management approaches and the implementation process. Through centralization of management programs, an organization may stand a position to achieve the underplayed plans, as centralization is implicit to the hierarchical structure of management. However, I critically depict that methods may tend to vest unnecessary authority to the management and the result shall hence lead to stringent application of power and harm the organizational set goals and objectives. I derived an approach that the prevailing management practices tame individuals to lose morality in business. I established that the theory focus on management and fail to relate it to the prevailing behaviors and norms that nurture the social wellbeing. The purpose remains stringent and tailored to achieving the set objectives of growth and profitability of performances thus showing fewer concerns to the factors of enhancing and motivating workforce (Marschan-Piekarri, and Welch, 2011:34). Critical management study is a radical approach to analysis and systematic approaches to management practices that may contradict the achievement of the set goals and objectives. I noticed that past management theories do not derive the real understanding of labor and the salient role in the organization. The revolution of managerial variables in affecting production positively may deviate towards achievement of the set goals and objectives; at this point, I realized that the management would tend to pressurize the workforce to perform in order to achieve the set goals and objectives. I concluded that the misconception of the managerial theories of the past studies were the key causes of unpredictable conflicts and malpractices in the management (Tadajewski, M. 2011:23). The organization’s environment and ethics Through closer analysis on CMS studies, I derived an understanding that the internal and external environments are significant to the business progress, and the value of approaching them implies on achievement of the set goals. As per the studies, I depicted that the political social and economic variables are critical in formulating management programs (Edwards, and Wajcman, 2005:18). The essence is that the political environment deters or boosts success based on the approach. As depicted from the researches of Marx Weber, human beings are vulnerable to holding back on progress whenever their counterparts are progress. On the other hand, Maslow establishes that needs for promotion and recognition are vital for humans. In reflection to the CMS, I established the needs of growth in accordance to peers and the need for promotion as significant to a conflicting environment. Managers may tend to depict ignorance towards the conflicting and political environment and the results emanating from the institution may harm the business at the loss (Clegg, Kornbegger, and Pitsis, 2011:20). I ascertained these discrepancies as the sole hindrances to the progressive nature of the business bearing in mind that the continued political situation in the organization will affect the overall performance and may lead to intensified inflictions to the wellbeing and existence of the organization. I discovered that businesses are prone to politicized conflicts and critically depicted that ill approaches to encouraging conflicts and expression in the organization may lead to eventual failure of overall objectives. I opt to ascertain the management process and eventual correlations with the social and political community are vital and implicit (Edwards, and Wajcman, 2005:20). Critics on defiance of establishing strict approaches that value all variables accordingly focus on the purposeful nature of rectifications for the best of the organization and the business environments. My approach to the CMS further focused on the practice of ethics as implemented in the studies. The eventual success factors in every organization are relevant to the practices prevailing between managers and the stakeholders. I critically evaluated the values held by the management in accordance to the code of conduct, and established that the management team may fail to deliver obligations in accordance to the set code and act in their authoritative capacity (Alvesson, and Willmott, 2011:28). For example, studies implement establish managerial relations towards subjects as applied in authoritative form, and the result will lead to a confused flow of operations and uncertainty in achieving the mission of the organization. Critical management studies employ a criterion and supervisory method to depicting the points of weaknesses that the affect the management in operations. I accomplished that relationships that prevail among the management and personnel are relative to implicit progress or poor performance in an organization (Clegg, Kornbegger, and Pitsis, 2011:24). The essence is that whenever relationships deviate from genuineness to personal, then the organizations may suffer unnecessary conflicts and biases because of unethical rulings. I critically reciprocate to the relationship approach of management to derive professional standards and abundance to the value of ethics. According to CMS, I honored the accomplishment of an achievement would emanate from the roles of the management. Conclusions The varying nature of critical management studies serves to broaden the spectrum of approach to the organizational performance. Through critical approaches to management, I was able to establish a study that would outline on the practices hinder organizational performance (Edwards, and Wajcman, 2005:24). Through the critical management studies, I researched and established that a manager may perceive that his practices target to achieve the set objectives while in actual sense, the outcome would harm the set goals. It is instrumental to undertake critical management studies as a researcher for acquaintance to necessary and broadened managerial practices meant to enhance performances (Clegg, Kornbegger, and Pitsis, 2011:26).
