HRM is traditionally defined as a non-technical career that is complex, yet practically orientated, and primarily related to human resources. Dealing with different departments in an organization and maintaining the overall strength of an organization is a very risky and complex task that includes recording every piece of information related to an organization’s employees. This task is, therefore, a major responsibility that businesses must successfully manage. Indeed, these requirements have forced human resource departments to hire information technology professionals.

The use of information technology reduces, simplifies, and expedites the multifaceted task of managing human resources. According to (Susan M. Heathfield), “[d]epartments are the entities organizations form to organize people, reporting relationships, and work in a way that best supports the accomplishment of the organizations' goals. Departments are usually organized by functions such as human resources, marketing, administration, and sales. The main department in the organization that finds IT much vital is the HR department, as they have the main function where it relates to the nook and corner of the organization and the functions and the objectives of the organization.

As the IT had its existence or when it came to be at the introductory level, the various department had made use of them, the each and every organization for the achievement of its competitive advantage also used the IT applications, the HR department in the organization used it but at the initial stages the employees had a resistance.
